Bonnie grew up on a farm in Minnesota. There, she learned the value of hard work, finding creative ways to get through difficulties and being kind to animals.  Her parents taught her that helping others in need was an important life responsibility.
Bonnie has been an advocate in the community.  She has been a volunteer counselor at the Neighborhood Involvement Program, Minnetonka Public Schools and Walk-In Counseling.  She served on the board of Pyramid Community Counseling for four years.
Bonnie decided to become a counselor after she faced five years of a chronic health condition.   During that time she became the leader of a support group to help others through similar crisis.

Courage to Face Life Challenges
Connection to Find a New Path

“Stepping onto a brand-new path is difficult, but not more difficult than remaining in a situation, which is not nurturing to the whole person.”
- Maya Angelou

"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen."
- Winston Churchill

“One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest. ”
- Maya Angelou

"Meanings are not determined by situations, but we determine ourselves by the meanings we give to situations."
- Alfred Adler

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy."
- Norman Vincent Peale
